Regenerate offers an innovative approach to skin revitalization, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin, leading to improvement of fine lines & wrinkles, skin tightening, and lifting.
As we age, the natural production of collagen decreases. It is estimated that after the age of 20, collagen production decreases at a rate of ~ 1% every year. Such diminishment accumulates with time.
Sofwave’s proprietary breakthrough technology, SUPERB™ Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam, delivers heat at an exact depth (1.5 mm) within the mid-dermis, targeting precisely where collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid are produced. The fractional heating effect created by this unique ultrasound delivery stimulates a healing response, resulting in the production of new and regenerated collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, which leads to a reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging lax tissue.
Sofwave™ also uses a novel technology called Sofcool ™, designed to protect the outer layer of skin from damage as the internal layers are treated. In other energy-based procedures, it is common for the outer skin to suffer damage. Sofwave avoids such damage, which means there is no recovery or downtime after the procedure.
Sofwave™ is FDA cleared for the following indications:
Reducing fine lines and wrinkles
Tightening lax skin under the chin
Lifting the eyebrows
Lifting sagging neck tissue
Temporarily reducing the appearance of cellulite
FAQ
Am I a good candidate for Regenerate?
If you are experiencing wrinkles, fine lines, or skin laxity, then Regenerate could be a good option for you. There are no restrictions on skin type or complexion, and it can address many areas of the face and neck, which makes it an incredibly versatile treatment.
It is extremely important that you have realistic expectations about the results that this treatment can provide. During your consultation with Dr. Klemperer will guide you to decide if the treatment is appropriate for you and your needs.
What should I expect with recovery from Regenerate? Is there downtime?
Here is some of the best news: you can expect minimal recovery, if any at all, from Sofwave™ ultrasound technology. The advanced Sofcool technology prevents the kinds of damage associated with other nonsurgical skin tightening treatments and drastically reduces the amount of redness or soreness you will experience after the procedure.
You can resume normal activities and skin care immediately following treatment.
How is Sofwave™ better than other technologies?
There are a number of energy-based technologies that address lines and wrinkles. More aggressive options can cause significant damage to the skin surface, leading to potential side effects, long healing periods, and considerable downtime. Gentler solutions have shown less clinical efficacy and often require multiple treatments. Sofwave™ is safe, effective, and has no downtime.
How many treatments are needed?
Typically, only 1-2 treatments are needed, depending on your skin condition.
What does Sofwave™ feel like?
As the ultrasound energy is delivered, you may feel deep heat in the skin. Treatment is made more comfortable by applying a topical anesthetic cream prior to the treatment along with use of a special cryotherapy device during treatment. Following the treatment, there is no discomfort and or restrictions. Daily care can be resumed immediately post treatment.
When can I expect to see results?
The collagen and elastic regeneration process typically takes up to 12 weeks, but ongoing improvement can continue for 6 months. The results will last for about one year, at which point it may be recommended to repeat the treatment for maintenance.
Are there any side effects from Sofwave™?
Sofwave™ has an exceptional safety profile. As it targets the mid-dermis and does not go as deep as other ultrasound-based modalities, it is extremely safe and effective. With its integrated cooling mechanism, Sofcool ™, which protects the outer skin layer and ensures no damage to the underlying structures.
